Based on hints from the Showtime president Robert Greenblatt a third season of Dexter is a very likely possibility. This doesn’t as a surprise as a cult following of estranged viewers were left hanging at the conclusion of the second season.

More than likely. It’s in the editing bays by now and getting ready to air.
Not only that, but I will venture to say that season three of Dexter will eclipse this round of episodes of Weeds as Showtime’s most successful original series.
And then, watch the audience numbers for the new Matthew Perry series, which should premiere in 2009.
